European Ministerial eGovernment Conference 2005

During the latest conference on e–Government, in Manchester in the U.K. ministers of Europe agreed on the fact the EU needs to get more creative in how it uses IT to improve public services and deliver social and economic benefits to businesses, governments and citizens
The attached report summarises the results of an eight-month study into the level of sophistication of e-Government across nine countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Sweden, UK and USA. It has been commissioned against the backdrop of the UK presidency of the European Council with a particular objective of looking beyond the EU.
