The Stockholm Challenge

The Stockholm Challenge is a global networking program for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) entrepreneurs. One of its scope is to demonstrate how information technology can improve living conditions and increase economic growth in all parts of the world. One of the main features of the Stockholm Challenge is the ICT prize, the Stockholm Challenge Award, which has attracted over 3000 projects over the years.
The 2006 version of the award had six different categories. The winners receive 5.000 euros and the specially designed Challenge trophy. The Prize giving ceremony will take place in the Stockholm City Hall on May 11th, 2006 and all finalists will be invited to participate in the event.
Although the challenge is closed for the 2006 competition it is worthy to look at project proposals list
