Scientific_commonsAccording to ScientificCommons project “about page”, its major aim is to develop the world’s largest communication medium for scientific knowledge products which is freely accessible to the public. A key challenge of the project is to support the rapidly growing number of movements and archives who admit the free distribution and access to scientific knowledge. These are considered to be the valuable sources for the ScientificCommons.org project.

ScientificCommons.org is a project of the University of St.Gallen (Switzerland) and hosted and developed at the Institute for Media and Communications Management.

I try to test the application using as keywords some of the research areas that URENIO is working on and here are the results.

“Digital cities” 140 search hits

<a href=”http://en.scientificcommons.org/20866574#search_string=%22Smart%20Cities%22>”Smart cities” 45 search hits

“Intelligent environments” 461 search hits

And this is a more advanced search query excluding a few key words since Strategic intelligence is a huge topic

“Strategic intelligence” -military -terrorist -crime –defence 131 search hits
