Partners' Profiles

Oslo Teknopol is a regional development agency in Norway, established by the City of Oslo and Akershus County Council. Our aim is to stimulate innovation and attract foreign investments to the Oslo region. We are a neutral partner and a non-profit organisation.

We continuously work to stimulate innovation-activities by strengthening the contact between regional R&D resources and business life and support cluster-development of strategic important business-areas. We also provide services and information to foreign investors considering the Oslo region as a possible location for future activities:

  • Information, facts and figures about the region as a business location
  • Assistance in establishing business contacts
  • Help in identifying commercial properties and premises
  • Organization of schedules and assistance with visits to the region

Oslo Teknopol is the lead partner of the Connect Baltic Sea Region (CBSR), a three-year project co-financed by the INTERREG III B Programme. The overall objective of CBSR is to stimulate new firms and job creation in the knowledge-intensive sector, by linking entrepreneurs and innovators with R&D, service providers, venture capitalists and partners. CBSR aims to establish Connect networks throughout the Baltic Sea Region.

Oslo Teknopol has also been involved in the preparation of a project-application to EU's 6. Framework Programme, called ABC-Network (Agro-Bio Cluster). For further information about our involvement in international projects, please see out international website: www.oslo.technopole.no
