The Laboratory of Applied Thermodynamics is active in the field of Internal Combustion Engines, and in particular in emissions and the techniques and methods for emissions control. It is also active in emission inventories from traffic and other sources, having therefore the ability to evaluate the proposed anti-pollution strategies. Finally, the Laboratory is engaged in the studying of traffic conditions in urban areas, given their influence on emissions.
