Agency for International Science and Technology Development Programmes (AISTDP, www.tpa.lt) was established in 2002 after reorganiation of the former National Information Centre 'Eureka'. It is operating under the Ministry of Science and Education of Lithuania. The Agency is responsible for administration and co-ordination of the Sixth Framework Programme, EUREKA, COST, Security Research, Euratom and other activities related to international science and technology development. AISTDP participates in science and technology policy formulation in Lithuania and its implementation. Main activities include: participation in NCP meetings and committee meetings in Brussels, dissemination of relevant information to Lithuanian researchers and SMEs, providing assistance in the set up of FP6 projects (consultancy, legal and financial advice, partner search), drafting and publication of FP6 marketing materials including leaflets, brochures, success stories, and development of "lessons learned" materials, organizing events, conferences, information days, brokerage events, fairs and exhibitions, providing information on potential Lithuanian partners. AISTDP is involved in a number of projects, including Integrating ACC, CEC Animal Science, Trainnet Future, SMEs Go LifeSciences, START, STEF-NANO-ACC, NBCC, IST Mentor +, ProSociety, Econetus.
