EPISTEP_LogoEPISTEP is an innovative project supported by the EU “Research and Innovation” strand of the 6th Framework Programme to enhance SME participation in IST European Technology Platforms (ETP) in the Sixth and Seventh Framework Programme.

ETPs addressed in the EPISTEP project are:

  1. Mobile Communications (eMobility)
  2. Embedded Systems (ARTEMIS)
  3. Nano-electronics (ENIAC)

The 3rd Workshop Objectives are the following…

* To inform the audience about three European tehcnology platforms (eMobility, ARTEMIS, ENIAC), their activities and status.

* To inform about FP7:
o the FP7 calls
o partner search and establishment of partnerships
o how to write proposals
o how to submit proposals
o evaluation criteria

* To present and promote the project EPISTEP as:
o a tool for cooperation between SMEs and ETPs and their common participation in FP7 projects
o a network and partner search facility
o a web site containing up-to-data information about the three platforms: eMobility, ENIAC and ARTEMIS and the relating events.

* To assist SMEs in matching their activities to the objectives of the FP7 calls.
