The recently published white paper on “Intelligence and Co-creation in Smart Specialisation Strategies” outlines some key conclusions from the Online S3 project. The project was funded under the Horizon 2020 programme. According to the authors, Research and Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialisation (RIS3), linking regional, national, and EU policy frameworks, regulations and strategy objectives require a variety of data and methods to define problems, priorities and objectives, and use suitable policy instruments.

The research group Data and Web Science Lab at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, along with the Master of Science (MSc) in Data and Web Science are organising the IEEE/WIC/ACM WI’19 conference at Thessaloniki on 14-17 October, 2019.
This report, published by Nesta, provides an introduction to collective intelligence in government. It aims to be useful and relevant to governments of countries at very different levels of development. It highlights the ways in which governments are better understanding the world around them, drawing on ideas and expertise from their citizens, and encouraging greater scrutiny of their actions.
